Theme Song: Invincible
The future Client Administrator to the Ghostbusters Doom Patrol was born to Elly and Jim Cummins in the fall of 1980 in Baltimore, Maryland, the third of five children. She inherited a knack for being clever from her father, a manager for a publishing firm that first attracted the young Erin to the world of entertainment. As a child, she and her brothers and sister would make little 8mm films in their backyard; recreating movies they managed to catch late at night on Gaylord's Shockwatch, WBFF-TV. She spent many Christmases with her cousins, twins Fred and Ashley, at their villa in Takoma Park, Maryland. Following high school graduation in May 1997, that summer she worked for Argyle Country Club in Silver Springs to help support her for her first year at college at Towson University. There, she completed her undergraduate studies having gained a Bachelor of Art Degree in English literature.
In 2001, having not lost her passion for cinema, she attended California State University (CSUN) where she sought to become a Film Student, studying Film Theory, and with other interests in accounting and U.S. Law. Relating to her primary desire, she worked as a cinematographer on several student projects, and landed a lucrative gig in early 2003 as assistant to director Jon Dennison as he set about work on his next project, Dance of the Skeletons. However, a family emergency back home prompted her to leave before the film was finished, and thus missed out on the excitement that would lead to the creation of the Ghostbusters: West Coast. Out of a job, she stayed on the east coast and worked in a number of Olive Garden restaurant chains by day, and with a small group of friends, worked on getting a foothold in the industry as independent filmmakers. But, money soon became a priority so she began the search for a more gainful career. In 2004, enter Philadelphia's newest and only paranormal investigative and elimination team, Ghostbusters: Doom Patrol.
Erin's duties were not unlike those of most C.A.'s: she answered calls for the team, did all invoices and paperwork, and more than once roused the weary group from their sleep. She politely disregarded an invitation by Janine Melnitz-Spengler, the legendary C.A. for the original New York Division Ghostbusters team, for further training in case of emergency, as had been an unfortunate tradition of client administrators being called on for backup. She would regret this decision later on, during events in the summer of 2006 that led to the near-destruction of the team, where she was indeed needed to help the group crawl from the wreckage, becoming enlisted as a full-time member and, thus, a co-leader alongside Salina Duran in re-establishing the group.
As of 2006, outside of her Ghostbusting and administrative position, Erin has continued her film studies at Philadelphia's Thomas Jerfferson University.
