Ghostbusters: Doom Patrol

Sarah comes from the land of the Great White North and has lived in the region of British Columbia all of her life. Though she loves to travel and embraces every opportunity to see the world, she has yet to fulfill her dream of experiencing everything that it has to offer. Though regardless of where life takes her, Canada will always be in her heart.

Mysterious and often misunderstood, don't assume this bold young woman to be anything less. Sarah prides herself on her eccentricities and maintains an enthusiastic zest for the pop cultural movements and trends of the last two decades, especially its music. She is notably a fan of 1980s New Wave. It is this era of counter-culture and alternative music that inspires her most to the point where she proudly proclaims herself to be a 'New Wave Girl'. If one were to ask who her favorite band is, she will not hesitate to answer Duran-Duran. Her other interests include Middle-Eastern culture, primarily India and its lore. She has studied its languages and has embraced herself in the traditions, food, and fashions of its people. Sarah's other hobbies include reading true crime novels and being an avid collector of stuffed animals and the BRATZ and Barbie line series of dolls. But last and certainly not least there is Ghostbusters.

Her first exposure to the franchise began with "The Real Ghostbusters". Sarah was drawn to the cartoon at the early age of seven. She remembers vividly her father had rented the movie that the animated series was based on, but like many who had become fans after seeing RGB, she assumed that the cartoon preceded the movie and not vice versa. It would be in 1989 where she had the chance to see the Ghostbusters in a movie theater for the first time, though not the original incarnation, but its sequel, Ghostbusters 2. When the cartoon went off the air in 1991, Sarah's passion for the hit movie and its spin-offs had waned and was set aside for other science fiction programs, such as Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and Star Trek: Voyager, that had appeared and gained popularity in the mid-to-late 1990's.

In 2003, Sarah's interest in Ghostbusters was reignited having discovered the Ghostbusters Online Fan Community. Since then, she has been a part of other forums, her longest run being at Ghostbusters.net and the legendary GhostbustersHQ.com. Over the years, she has taken on the mantle of many online monikers in the community (including one that she often rolls her eyes at and would like to forget). But commonly, people know her best as Sarah and often refer to her by her Ghostbusters: Doom Patrol alter ego 'Salina'. Call her what you will, but she promises…you'll never forget her.

In one form or another, Sarah has always been part of a team. Her various career paths, ranging from her culinary experiences in the food & service industry to her stints in sales, have gained her the aptitude to excel in a position of responsibility for herself and her colleagues. Perhaps it was fate that she was asked to join Ghostbusters: Doom Patrol in 2003 by community regulars Rob Smith and GBDP's creator, Cedric Bacon. Because to say that interesting people rarely go unnoticed is an understatement. But in Sarah's case, she is extraordinary.
